Retractable leashes are not allowed on site. Fixed leash, 6 feet or shorter. If you arrive with a flexi, swap it at welcome check-in and we will hold yours until you leave. ›

House rules

Seven things. Thirty seconds. Then go have fun.

No flexi leashes Retractable leashes tangle legs, snap under load, and let a dog cross into another dog's space before you can stop it. In a crowd this size that is how fights and injuries start. Fixed leash, 6 ft or shorter, all day. We have loaner leashes at welcome check-in.
Leashed at all timesIncluding on the patios, in the lobby, and at your table. No off-leash anywhere.
Ask before you say hiTo the human first, then the dog. Not every dog here wants a new friend and that is completely fine.
Scoop it every timeBags and bins are in the dog relief area, by the food trucks, and right by the live music. The relief area is up by the demos and vendor booths.
Water for the dogsDog water stations all over the site and topped up all day. And remember, if the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand, it is too hot for paws.
It is okay to leaveCrowds are a lot. Panting, tucked tail, whale eye, shutting down: take a lap somewhere quiet or call it a day.
Healthy dogs onlyUp to date on vaccines, no dogs that have not been spayed or neutered, no dog with a bite history. You are responsible for your dog all day.

Start the day with breakfast on the patio.

Medley's beer patio

12pm to 5pm

Dogs welcome. 19+ to drink. Alcohol has to stay on the beer patio, it cannot be carried around the property.

Seymour's dog friendly patio

Opens at 11am

Food and drinks. Dogs welcome here too.

BjornBar

10am to 5pm

Coffee, sandwiches and pastries for you, and a free puppuccino right outside BjornBar.

Free puppuccino 🍦

Right outside BjornBar, 10am to 4pm

Grab a puppuccino for your pup, and a coffee for you.

Grab it to go. Did you know you can order from Medley's, Seymour's and BjornBar and take it with you? Eat in our courtyard, inside the hotel lobby, or over by the food trucks. Alcohol is the exception, that has to stay on the beer patio.

Not ready to head home at 5pm? Seymour's and Medley's patios stay open. Pop by, see if you can snag a seat, and stay for dinner.

Running all day

Pet passport

Pick one up at welcome check-in. Get a stamp from six booths, hand it in at the front desk, and you are in the draw for a one night stay.

I Dig You

Grab an I Dig You bandana, while supplies last. A few will also be available at the DoubleTree booth. Spin the wheel, and if it lands on the bandana, it is yours to keep.

Keep it, or give it to a friend looking for a new friend. If a dog wearing one comes up to you, that is the sign their human is up for a chat. Let your dog choose.

Dog photo studio

Dog friendly patios

Medley's beer patio and Seymour's dog friendly patio. Grab a seat and stay a while.

Water for the dogs

Dog water stations across the site, topped up all day. Please use them, it is August.

Relief area

A fenced spot for your dog to go, up by the demos and vendor booths. Bags and bins there, by the food trucks, and by the live music.

DoubleTree by Hilton North Vancouver, 700 Old Lillooet Road.

Take transit 🚌

The easiest way to arrive

SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay, then a short bus ride. Please note TransLink requires dogs to be carried in a bag or carrier, so this only works for smaller dogs.

Walk or cycle

If you are anywhere close, this is the fastest option all day. Bike racks on site.

Free street parking

There is free street parking nearby, and overflow parking can be at the Superstore.

Free parking on site

We have free parking on site. We cannot guarantee a spot on the day though, so if you arrive and it is full, use one of the other options provided.
